Wojciech Koprowski is a distinguished Polish violinist, soloist, chamber musician, and educator. As a soloist, he has performed with numerous orchestras, including the Max Bruch Philharmonie in Sondershausen, Philharmonie Baden-Baden, as well as the National Philharmonic, Baltic Philharmonic, Zielona Góra Philharmonic, Łódź Philharmonic, Rzeszów Philharmonic, Częstochowa Philharmonic, and Opole Philharmonic. He has also collaborated with the Symphony Orchestra of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, Camerata Vistula, and Capella Gedanensis.
Since 2007, he has been a member of the Meccore String Quartet, one of the most esteemed string quartets of his generation. With this ensemble, he has performed in prestigious venues worldwide, such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Wigmore Hall in London, Musikverein in Vienna, Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Beethoven-Haus in Bonn, and Bozar in Brussels. In Poland, he has performed in most major philharmonic halls, showcasing his high artistic level.
Wojciech Koprowski graduated with honors from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where he studied under Professor Konstanty Andrzej Kulka. With the Meccore String Quartet, he further honed his skills under the guidance of musicians from the Camerata Quartet and Artemis Quartett at the Universität der Künste in Berlin and Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Brussels. He also studied with Günter Pichler of the Alban Berg Quartett during his postgraduate studies at Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid.
His repertoire includes a wide range of violin compositions, including complete cycle of Sonatas for violin solo by Eugène Ysaÿe, which he performed during one recital. His debut album, "Ysaÿe Impressions," received critical acclaim and was nominated for the Fryderyk Award in 2010 in the categories of "Solo Recital of the Year" and "Debut of the Year."
Currently, he serves as a professor at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków, where he shares his knowledge and experience with young violinists.
